Named Huricane long ago because of her energy and determination, she goes in many directions at once, creating and designing 1800 Victorian hats, victorian civil war era hats, tea hats, Edwardian hats, Gibson girl hats, clothing and B-Western / Silver Screen western outfits.

Huricane is a life member and Regulator of The Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) with 80,000 plus members. Having served as a member of the SASS Board of Judges for costuming, she also teaches her talents for designing in Victorian ball gowns, Victorian Hats and B-Western Costumes.
Featured in and on the cover of Cowgirl Action Shooting book, featured in the National Rifle Association Women's Outlook Magazine and multiple features in Shoot Magazine. Huricane has also had many articles written and published in numerous newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune and many more. She also appears on TV on The Outdoor Network Channel from time to time.
Traveling all over the United States, Huricane donates a great deal of her time to charity events, and to teaching and judging costume contests for cowboy shoots nationwide.
